Liquid Rubber
Liquid Rubber comes in two basic
flavours: Urethane and Silicone
Depending on what you plan to cast
into the mold will dictate to a large degree whether you will be using a
Urethane or a Silicone. There are many other considerations to factor in
your choice. We at Gyptek can help you decide which is the right rubber
for your application.
Liquid Plastics
Liquid Plastics come in two basic
flavours: Smooth Cast and Task
Smooth Cast
urethane casting resins offers the user tremendous versatility and
economy. These products feature the convenience of a one-to-one mix
ratio by volume -- no scale is necessary. Very low viscosity ensures
easy mixing, pouring and exact duplication of detail. These urethane
resins cure with negligible shrinkage to hard plastics that are tough,
durable, machinable and paintable. They also resist moisture and mild
solvents. Vibrant color and color effects are easily achieved by adding
pigments
The Task series are urethane
casting resins that offer superior physical properties compared to
Smooth-On's Smooth-Cast line of general
purpose casting resins.
Foams
Foams are available in two basic
flavours: Flexible and Rigid foams.
Both the flexible and rigid foams are
available in a range of densities. There is a density to suit your
requirements and they can be pigmented.
duoMatrix
duoMatrix-G™ is a new polymer additive
system for alpha gypsums that greatly enhances physical and performance
properties. Castings are stronger, lighter, weather resistant and can be
demolded four times faster. It's versatility allows adding of metal
powders and other fillers to simulate the look of metal, stone and other
facades. Matrix-G™ can also be pigmented and painted.
Smooth-On also manufactures a
duoMatrix specially formulated for concrete.
A new, easy-to-use version of
Matrix™-G, NEO's dry components (PART A) are “pre-measured” for easy
measuring and mixing with PART B – latex liquid. Easy two-to-one by
volume mix ratio means no scale is required.
Epoxies
Smooth-on has been manufacturing
adhesives since 1895. They continue to be the choice of all branches of
the U.S. Military, every major airline and auto manufacturer in the
world, and many other major industrial manufacturing and repair
operations.
